I got such a crazy amount of value in just 8 weeks. I was inspired by how easy it was to learn what I wanted and meet so many relevant people in such a short time. I am excited to be an ODCS fellow long-term! I really enjoyed working with my Mastermind group and was able to immediately put into practice some of the learnings from the Deep Dive with Rav Dhaliwal in terms of pipelining and screening/testing, amongst many more. As someone leading data science at a startup, I was looking for a community that brings together data science leaders that are going through the same journey and share common challenges and best practices. I've spent my career building data teams at small startups. While I love the opportunity that provides for impact, it's rare to have peer data science leaders at that size, and it can be lonely to work through data-specific challenges without them!
