On Deck Fellowship — Winter ‘19

Schedule

Other

As a fellow, you have access to the global lineup of events. If you’re ever traveling through or visiting a city where On Deck operates, you’re invited!

The San Francisco Cohort will follow a “Track”-style events calendar. Some events will be open to the full cohort, while others will give priority to those “enrolled” in that specific track. If there’s still extra capacity after the priority RSVP period, we’ll open access up to the broader group via a waitlist.

Below is a rough outline, which is subject to change. This calendar will get updated as dates get locked in.

We will provide more details on the programming & location during the weekly emails.

What does a Fellowship dinner look like?

Weekly dinners will be held at a variety of different private residences, office spaces, and private dining rooms.

The format we’ve found most effective somewhat resembles an “unconference.” This includes:

  • Drinks and mingling as guests arrive;

  • 2 - 4 small “breakout sessions” led by Fellowship members or featured guests with particular expertise in various sectors.

  • Dinner in a casual, small group setting to have fantastic conversations.

Nobody likely pure networking events, nor is it great to have end-to-end structured programming without a minute to chat freely amongst the other attendees. We try to strike a balance in between with this hybrid format.

We'll be sure to mix it up throughout to keep things fresh – sprinkling in some panels, fireside chats, full-group conversation, small group breakouts, and more.

What does a Fellowship co-working day look like?

The On Deck Fellowship pop-up co-working day will be held at the office space of one of our partners.

Some will take place during business hours, and others will be over the weekend in order to maximize opportunities for attendance.

You'll have freedom to choose whichever style is best for you at that moment: whether that's individual deep focus work, or collaborative group work/brainstorming/ideating. Occasionally, we'll bring in mentors with deep SME to collaborate with attendees, open slots for office hours, or lead a tactical workshop.
